How realistic is completing WGU's SD degree in one to two terms with no prior knowledge of programming
Main Post:
I don't know how many people are/were in the same boat as I am in regards to getting/looking forward to get this degree done this fast with having liitte to no experience. Looking to hear your experiences!
I'm transfering in 35 credits into the program, only two gen eds(logic and ethics), no project +, intro to web dev is done, and intro to IT.
I should be able to get the A+ out of the way, I've taken an I.T class at my old college last year, google IT cert in March, building pcs,etc
I don't really have any programming experience outside of a Java class I took for my senior year in highschool in 2019, and a few classes throughout college which I dropped because I got burn't out from my mental health, family issues.
I would be a full time student, I have no, planning on studying job 8-9 hours (maybe more) each day for studying learning concepts and practicing ,etc.
I would say I'm an average learner, i'm not special when it comes to getting knowlege int o my head.
I plan on mostly just accelerating through the stuff I don't really need to know which is pretty much all of the extra I.T courses. I can probably get that out of the way in 1-2 months.
TL:DR
Do you think that its realistic in general to complete this degree with little prior to no prior knowledge of programming within 1-2 terms( if it takes longer is ok). Bunch of freetime , willing to learn.
Also would like to hear your experiences.
Writing this before bed.
I'm also starting on July 1st, contact me if you are interested in being study partners :D .

No one can really tell you since we don't know what your study habits and strengths are. Is it possible, yes, especially if you are devoting 8 hours a day to studying. But you're looking at 40ish CUs every term, for me it took 4 months to pass the A+ and that was only 8 CUs.Now I'm not trying to disheartened you, there are people out there who passed the comptia trifecta(A+,Net+,Sec+) In one month and then there's people like me who could only devote 3 hours a day. Also look into straighterline or study.com or Sophia learning to see what courses you can take and transfer in, check out josh madakor videos on YouTube, he completes the CS degree in one term. Check out back to school channel on youtube as well, this guy got his bachelor in IT in 18 months and only transfered in 11 credits. take advantage of reddit, there's a reddit post for most of the courses you are going to take. Take the preassessment first, then study what you lacked competency in and try again, then pass the OA. YouTube crash courses for you web dev classes, c++, and java so you have familiarity before you start them.Good luck bro 💪
